The publication ethics of the Studia Edukacyjne journal is consistent with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Each manuscript is subjected to anti-plagiarism check using iThenticate.
Editorial Board
- The Editorial Board observes all ethical standards in the publishing process in order to counteract any form of discrimination and to uphold the principle of academic freedom.
- The Editorial Board organizes the peer review process in accordance with the applicable copyright law.
- The work of the Editorial Board is based on privacy and confidentiality standards, concerning, among other things, the protection of the personal data of all participants in the publishing process.
- The Editorial Board applies the same review and publishing procedure to every submitted article.
- In the review process, the Editorial Board uses a double-blind peer review model.
- The Editorial Board makes every effort to eliminate from the review process any possibility of a conflict of interest between authors and reviewers.
- The Editorial Board makes decisions on the acceptance or rejection of submitted papers and bears full responsibility for these decisions.
- The Editorial Board screens every manuscript for plagiarism using iThenticate.
Reviewers
- Reviewers carry out a substantive and methodological evaluation of the article.
- Reviewers undertake to maintain confidentiality with regard to the work under review.
- By accepting an article for review, Reviewers undertake to deliver their opinion to the Editorial Board within the set deadline, using the review form template provided by the journal’s Editorial Board.
- Reviewers are obliged to immediately inform the Editorial Board of any signs of plagiarism they notice.
Authors
- Together with the manuscript, Authors provide the Editorial Board with a list of affiliations and of the sources of funding for the research discussed in the text.
- In the case of multi-author manuscripts, Authors disclose the contribution of each individual author to the creation of the work.
- Authors submit a manuscript presenting original research results.
- Authors prepare the footnotes and the reference list of the manuscript in accordance with the style adopted by the Editorial Board.
- Authors accept the journal’s review procedure and undertake to revise the manuscript in line with the reviewers’ suggestions.
- Authors are required to accept the journal’s zero-tolerance policy on plagiarism and the falsification of research results.
- By submitting a text for publication, Authors also accept the Editorial Board’s policy of counteracting “ghostwriting” and consent to the publication of the text in both print and electronic form.
Procedure for Handling Copyright Violations
In the event of suspected plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or unauthorized use of third-party intellectual property, the Editorial Board strictly adheres to the procedures and flowcharts established by COPE. To ensure a thorough verification of the allegation, the evaluation and publication process of the manuscript is immediately suspended at any stage of editorial or peer review. The corresponding author is promptly requested in writing to address the allegations and provide supporting documentation confirming the originality of the submitted research. If the publication misconduct is substantiated, the Editorial Board will permanently reject the manuscript or, if already published, formally retract the article. Furthermore, the Editorial Board reserves the right to notify the author’s employing academic institution and relevant governing bodies about the incident.
